Appliances for treatment of distal deep blocking bite

Appliances include the maxillary support, on which the support-retaining wireframes of lateral teeth and the inclined plate (plane) with a bite platform for incisors of both jaws are fixed through the orthodontic springs (see, Fig1,3., MAILYAN7.2 ) The inclined plate is in contact with the hard palate but only in the range of the incisive bone. The design of the appliance allows to combine the transversal growth of the alveolar process of the maxilla with an effective influence of forces of the masticatory muscles and springs on the inclined plate. This ensures a dent alveolar intrusion and protrusion of incisors of both jaws, combined with the lifting in the anterior section of the hard palate in the area of  the incisive bone. The inclined plate also contributes to the normalization of the position of the mandible and promotes dental alveolar lengthening in its lateral segments. Fig 3 shows the force vectors of influence of the appliancesin the area of incisors. As an embodiment of the appliance can serve a construction, in which the plastic of the inclined plate does not contact the hard palate and the support -retaining  wireframes of lateral teeth are connected to each other  via a vestibular arch.

Appliance with vestibulolingual arch on incisors

In the case of medio-lateral displacement of the upper incisors the treatment is carried out by an appliance ensuring an independent from each other moving of upper and lower incisors. The design differs from the above-described appliance by the fact that the inclined plate with a bite platform in the area of upper incisors is  in contact only with their cutting edges, and  the closed vestibulolingual arch or the wireframe dispersed along the height of the upper incisors is fixed on the palatal support through springs (see,Fig2,4). This design allows to achieve movement of frontal teeth in three directions, and the intensification of the process contributes to transverse growth of the alveolar process. Fig 4 shows the force vectors of influence of the appliance in the area of incisors. In the case of  small height of  crowns of lateral teeth the contact of incisors with the bite platform of  the inclined plate may lead to a dumping (jumping off, coming off, sliding out) of the appliance that can be prevented by realization of fastening elements with removable and fixed details (see, Fig/2)

Appliances with an inclined plane.

This appliance is applied for the treatment of distal deep bite. The basis of the appliance constitutes a palatal support in the form of arc wire clasp or wireframe, on which the inclined plate(plane )is directly fixed, and support-retaining wireframes of teeth are fixed through orthodontic springs. The support-retaining wireframes are interconnected by a vestibular arch. In the case of  small height of  crowns of lateral teeth the contact of incisors with the bite platform of  the inclined plate may lead to a dumping (jumping off, coming off, sliding out)  of the appliance that can be prevented by realization of fastening elements with removable and fixed details (see, Fig2) The support-retaining wireframes of the appliances may be provided with arc he for fixing the clips of buccal plates (see,Fig5).

Appliances for distalization of teeth.

The appliances intended to reduce the indications for application of facial arches for distalization of teeth. The basis of the appliance is made in the form of palatal arch with elliptical springs and the inclined plate (plane) fixed on it. The arch passing through guide rings fixed on support-retaining wireframes of premolar, is rigidly fixed by its ends in the area of molars. Above mentioned segments of support-retaining wireframes from vestibular side have tubes, in which the ends of  the vestibular arch with elliptical springs and mandibular labial plates are mounted  with an ability of fixing and removal  (see, Fig7) The synchronous activation of springs of palatal and vestibular arc he allows to intensify section by section distal movement of lateral teeth in combination with a gradual mesial displacement of the mandible, by concentrating the efforts of masticatory and mimic muscles. Separate sections of support-retaining wireframes can be made with removable orthodontic bands or crowns (see, Fig.8). The intensity of distalizationis increased if it is combined with the growth of the alveolar process.
